Sore feet.
Only 18,000 steps today. Yesterday I missed out on 30,000 by only a few hundred. I enjoy walking around cities, but I'm really looking forward to a break on the train for the next few days where I'll stare out windows, read books, and only walk as far as the dining car.
After setting off the fire alarm briefly this morning, and getting exciting things like washing done, I headed into town to tick off the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario. The museum was good, but I should have started at the top with the Roman and Egyptian stuff and worked my way down. As it was I hit them last by which time it was lunch time and you know how I get when I'm hungry. Lunch was salad because I've been woefully light on that recently and I must have needed it because man that salad tasted good. After lunch I walked back down to the art gallery - the Canadian seven were probably my favorite again.
Here are some photos from my wanderings.
The museum was up around the main part of the University, which was really pretty. It was curious how distinctive the divide was from the city streets I'd walked up. I crossed an intersection and then suddenly it's buildings like this,
Philosopher's walkway.
Giant sloth - wouldn't want to come across one of those in the wild.
Check out those curls.
Spiderman turned up.

View in the other.
CN Tower and tram line fixes,
After the gallery I still had time to get to St Lawrence market so that was my last stop of the day. If I lived in Toronto I think I'd come here often. Though I am massively lazy so maybe not. It's a market full of food. Fresh meat, cheeses, bread, veges. I grabbed a couple of things for a makeshift dinner. I also paid stupid amounts for a bag of garlic chips, but oh well, they'll be a good train snack.
Garlic chips.
Italian, Greek and Spanish olives and Canadian cheese.
Makeshift dinner. Just needed a glass of wine, which I was not on my game enough to get.
Can you tell I'm tired in this post? I feel you can. Anyway, time to pack my bags for the train. Talk at you again in a few days.
